Help Us Support Young Minds Like Swarup Kantha — A Story of Talent, Determination, and Opportunity
I want to share the story of a remarkable young boy, Swarup Kantha, whose journey shows exactly why Dhi‑e Foundation exists — and why your support can change a child’s future.
Swarup joined Dhi‑e Foundation when he was in Class 7, coming from a background where access to quality education and mentorship was limited. But he was curious, hardworking, and full of potential. All he needed was guidance.
Through Dhi‑e’s practical science classes, Swarup learned about the JBNSTS Science Competition, one of the most prestigious science talent exams in West Bengal. With help from Dhi‑e teachers, he prepared diligently — and his efforts paid off. He secured 3rd place in the entire state of West Bengal.
But Swarup didn’t stop there.
He went on to qualify for the National Means‑cum‑Merit Scholarship (NMMS), a highly competitive national exam. He also earned the Dhi‑e Scholarship, awarded to students who show exceptional promise and dedication.
In 2024, Swarup ranked 16th in the Vidyasagar Science Olympiad, competing against some of the brightest young minds in the state.
And last year, he achieved something extraordinary — Swarup secured 5th rank in the West Bengal Class 10 Board Examinations, a result that reflects not only his talent but his relentless hard work.
Today, Swarup dreams of returning to Dhi‑e Foundation as a teacher. He wants to give back to the very place that supported him, mentored him, and helped him discover what he was capable of. His dream is to guide younger students the way he was guided — to become the mentor he once needed.
Why We Need Your Support
Swarup’s story is inspiring, but it is not unique. There are hundreds of children in rural India with the same potential — children who are bright, motivated, and full of dreams, but who lack access to quality education, mentorship, and opportunities.
